Hand finished Chubby Unicorn prints – promote body positivity

Chubby Unicorn says “be kind to yourself” – and isn’t that just a lesson we could all do with learning from time to time?

The idea behind Chubby Unicorn was to say it’s good to be different, it doesn’t matter if your body is different to other people’s, and that self-love is crucial. It’s a reminder to take time out of our day to remember that we are all wonderful, one way or another.

I sketched the original idea in pencil then scanned it and went over the outline using a graphics program. I added text and then printed it onto canvas-textured paper, then mixed up a load of lovely pastel colours in acrylic paint and applied them to the print. The unicorn’s body is white acrylic with a sprinkling of iridescent glitter, while its horn is in gold acrylic.

These hand-finished prints are supplied mounted in plain white frames. The frame size is roughly 20x15cm.

I have no plans to make any more chubby unicorn hand finished framed art prints, so the few I have in stock can be considered ‘limited edition’.
