With spooky season being almost upon us, I thought I’d break from my usual tradition and make something a bit spooky!
I went through a big Goth phase in my late teens and early twenties, and I’ve largely grown out of it now I’m in my fifties… but I know a lot of my customers are celebrants of all things spooky, so here’s my tribute to them: a Hallowe’en Lantin. But hey, if you’re into the darker stuff, don’t just save it for 31st October – use it all year round!
This is a multi-layered Lantin cut from many shades of purple, dark blue and charcoal pearlescent cardstock. It is lit with white lights, is adorned with some additional spooky decorations including a pumpkin, some bats, some hands reaching out of graves, and some glow-in-the-dark ghosts.
The windows of the church in the background, as well as the moon, also glow in the dark.
This Lantin measures approximately 17 x 13cm, and is supplied with a matching lid, branded drawstring cotton bag and USB extension lead.
Note: you will need a USB plug (such as is used for charging a mobile phone) or a USB battery pack – neither of which are supplied with the Lantin. While my Lantins will undoubtedly be attractive to children, please exercise caution and keep the Lantin and its cables out of reach of tiny hands.
