Using pale grey plain cardstock as a background, I used an embossing folder to press a raised stone wall texture as a base for this handmade “new home” card.
Like its blue doored cousin, this card has a welcome mat in English, so I didn’t feel a Welsh ‘cartref newydd’ sentiment would really fit… however, I’m happy to add either ‘new home’ or ‘cartref newydd’ to the top of the card, by special request – please get in touch before ordering, or add a note to your order at the checkout.
The arched door frame is cut from plain white card, and the door from bright red. Behind the patterned panel at the bottom I’ve added some darker red cardstock, and I’ve added pale blue ‘glass’ to the back of the top panel. The letterbox and lock are die cut from pearlised gold card.
Either side of the door are lanterns cut from black card and infilled with pale blue, and two topiaried trees planted in terracotta pots.
This is a fairly large new home card measuring around 12.7 x 17.7cm. It’s supplied with a white envelope and is protected by a cellophane bag.
