The moment I saw this cutting die for sale, I knew I needed to make a Lantin from it. My husband finds it very entertaining to pretend he can’t read what the text says (*rolls eyes so far back into head they disappear*) – but as any fule kno, it says “Be still and listen the earth is singing”. I think that’s a really nice message about slowing down and paying attention to nature, but I suppose that’s just my hippy-dippy interpretation and someone else will say it’s about something else 🙂
The foreground – the words plus some birds and flowers – has been cut into a sparkly black cardstock, while the inner lining is pearlised rose-gold. The USB-powered lights inside the Lantin give a warm white glow.
This is a rectangular Lantin, measuring approximately 14 x 10 x 4 cm. It is supplied with a matching lid, and presented in a Mooshkin branded cotton drawstring bag which also contains a 1m USB extension cord to give you a little extra reach in case your shelf and electrical socket have a bit of distance between them.
Note: you will need a USB plug (such as is used for charging a mobile phone) or a USB battery pack – neither of which are supplied with the Lantin. While my Lantins will undoubtedly be attractive to children, please exercise caution and keep the Lantin and its cables out of reach of tiny hands.
