Description
A handmade resin bird in clear resin into which I’ve embedded real dried rose petals from my garden, and a generous sprinkling of gold leaf.
These birds feel very pleasing to hold (as anyone who’s picked one up on my stall at craft fairs will testify) – they’re very smooth, pleasantly weighted, and fit snugly into the palm of the hand. My autistic grandson absolutely loves these little birds and has grabbed a couple from my stash (with permission!) – and as a neurodivergent myself, I find that from a sensory point of view they are really nice to touch.
These should be weatherproof enough to use as garden ornaments (I’ll be doing that with one of the birds that I’ve kept back for myself) but I can’t guarantee they won’t fade or become damaged by extreme weather conditions.
The bird measures approximately 10.5cm in overall length, around 5cm wide and around 7cm tall.
