Handmade greetings card: “Die cut let it snow Christmas card”

I love snow – probably because I work from home so rarely have to go out in it!

This is a lovely minimalistic Christmas card, comprising an intricate lacy snowflake die cut edge cut from a thick white cardstock with a shimmery silver fleck, giving a pearlised effect. This is applied to an A6 white greetings card, supplied with a matching white envelope.

I’ve fixed four snowflakes onto the card, slightly raised by using sticky pads, and to the centre of each snowflake I’ve added a little diamante. Two of the snowflakes are cut from the card’s edge so are made from the same pearlised cardstock, while the other two snowflakes (one medium, one small) are cut from iridescent glitter cardstock.

Finally, I’ve die cut individual letters from pewter foiled cardstock and affixed these to the card, spelling out the phrase ‘let it snow’.

A lovely wintry card which celebrates the season rather than the religious festival, so it’s suitable for sending as a non-religious greeting, akin to ‘compliments of the season’.

Card size: A6 (10.5×14.8cm appx). Supplied with a matching white envelope, and presented in a cellophane bag for protection.
