Handmade greetings card: “Die cut house in the forest – cartref newydd”

A charming greetings card to welcome someone to their new home.

I’ve die cut a little scene of a house in a forest, surrounded by plants and a little hare, into kraft card and placed it on a multi-coloured background which has splashes of iridescence. Beneath, I’ve heat embossed the phrase ‘Cartref Newydd’ in silver embossing powder onto pale blue backing card. There’s a lovely 3D-ness due to the use of slightly raised sticky pads between the card’s various layers.

Note that each card will be slightly different. Although I’ve used the same design of backing paper on every card, they’re cut from different areas of a larger sheet so the colours will slightly vary, as will the position and number of iridescent splashes. Don’t worry, they all look gorgeous!

This is a 5×7″ (roughly 18×12.5cm) greetings card which is supplied with a matching envelope. The card is presented in a cellophane bag to keep it clean and safe from damage.
